Hello! My name is Katie—I am a recipe developer, food stylist, food writer, and cookbook author based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In 2018, I began working for a local blog as a food writer, food photographer, and recipe developer. After years of experience, I started working as an Associate and Senior Food Editor at major lifestyle brands with emerging recipe programs, helping them build recognizable culinary identities by refining their voice, aesthetics, and storytelling.

In 2024, I co-authored Around the Table by Shea McGee. Shortly thereafter, I landed my first solo cookbook deal. Publication is my passion, and I hope to write, ghostwrite, and co-author many more books in the future.

Every recipe I publish has been tested many times, with meticulous detail and earnest consideration for why it exists and for whom. The recipes I develop work. Each image I style is made with real food, care, and technique to ensure the recipe looks its best underneath the lens.

Perhaps most importantly, I take genuine care in giving my work an origin story. With a Bachelor of Arts in the humanities and a decade-long career in marketing, stories are essential to my work. I truly believe that, somehow, they make food so much more delicious.
